Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently recruiting a Regional Program Advisor (South Asia) for our Asia/Pacific (AP) regional office in Bangkok, Thailand. Reporting to the Regional Program Manager, this position focuses on carrying out primary support functions for country programs in the South Asian region. The Manager focuses on broad organizational and national governing body development while the Advisor focuses on technical implementation, especially focusing on the program monitoring and evaluation systems necessary for compliance with organizational standards, preparation and implementation of funding proposals and general project-level activity.
Responsibilities include: Program Management: *Provide and direct HFHI support for national organization and branch office growth in program scale, stability, and sustainability. *Provide technical assistance, strategic planning support, business plan development and budget preparation and monitoring support for assigned national organizations and branches *Provide specific problem solving and intervention strategies to reconcile internal conflicts in national organizations, as directed by the Regional Program Manager
Microfinance: *Support housing finance programs consistent with micro savings principles at the community level and work with microfinance institutions to link up with Habitat's housing initiatives Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation: *Support the incorporation of project-based funding and monitoring and evaluation systems into national organizations and their affiliates/local building programs in collaboration with appropriate functional staff
Grant Review and Monitoring: *Review grants submitted, monitor progress toward objectives and ensure final results are incorporated in on-going planning
Other: *Assist in the delivery of innovate development and training, appropriate technology, volunteer programs, disaster response and other specialized support programs.
