Volunteer Programs Marketing Coordinator (Asia Pacific)

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a dedicated professional for the position of Volunteer Programs Marketing Coordinator.  Reporting to the Manager of Volunteer Programs Asia Pacific, the Volunteer Programs Marketing Coordinator is a key player in creating and implementing the marketing strategy for Volunteer Programs Asia Pacific. This position works closely with both the Resource Development and Communications teams at area office. This position is based at our area office in Bangkok, Thailand.


Responsibilities include:

Vision and Planning:
• Actively promote, enhance, and maintain Habitat for Humanity’s mission focus
• Serve as an advocate of Habitat’s ministry, encouraging participation in the movement to eliminate poverty housing
• Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for developing and expanding the Global Village program in Asia Pacific

Program Development
• Ensure Global Village programs operate in a manner consistent with HFH guidelines, standards and mission. Implement area-wide Global Village policies and procedures to further develop and strengthen the Asia Pacific Global Village program.
• Develop and implement systems, processes, and tools to enhance the Global Village program, ensure quality, and mitigate risk.
• Develop tools for gathering feedback from participants and systems for tracking progress towards established objectives. Facilitate the evaluation and assessment of the Global Village program, monitoring performance and recommending actions for improvement. Assure that Global Village hosting locations meet accreditation requirements.
• Coordinate the scheduling of Global Village teams and serve as the liaison between the national office and team leaders.
• Help to manage program finances by advising on the development of team budgets.
• Manage the collection, consolidation, and reporting of Global Village information relevant to the Asia/Pacific Global Village program.

Capacity Building
• Assist in the hiring, orientation, and training of national GV Coordinators and provide them with ongoing program support, equipping them with the necessary resources and training to implement all aspects of their jobs competently and efficiently. 
• Provide cross-functional supervision of national GV Coordinators, including staff performance assessment and the development of training and professional development plans. 
• Promote best practices in volunteer program management.
• Create tools that facilitate the development of volunteer programs that provide an enriching, valuable experience for both families and volunteers.
• Facilitate team building between national GV staff and encourage cross-program collaboration. 

Communication
• Together with the Communications Department, develop and implement systems for communicating with past GV participants, as well as systems for marketing the program to future participants.
• Write articles for HFHI publications and respond to inquiries as needed.

 
Required Skills: 
• 5 years experience with volunteer program management for NGOs, preferable internationally
• 3 years supervisory experience
• 2 years international experience
• Bachelors Degree in any related field
• Masters Degree preferred
• Fluency in written and spoken English, additional Asian language preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Advanced skills in the use of spreadsheets, word processing programs, the Internet and e-mail
