Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a seasoned professional for the position of Associate Director, Volunteer Programs, Partnerships and Advocacy. Reporting to the Director of Program Development, this position is responsible for the strategic development of volunteer activities and services in the Area. The position provides management, coordination and guidance in the development, implementation and evaluation of Volunteer Programs in the Asia Pacific Area, both in support of in-country programs and in regards to area initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
Strategy Development: • Develops and implements strategies that strengthen and further develop Volunteer Programs in Asia Pacific (including Global Village, Youth Programs, Church Relations, and the International Volunteer Program), leading to an increase in the number of volunteers and resources raised through volunteer activity in Asia Pacific and sharing best practices globally and in the Area.
Leadership: • Represents (or delegates) Asia Pacfic on Global task forces and confrences as appropriate. • Member of the Asia Pacific Senior Leadership Team. • Coordinates and shares ideas with counterparts in other HFHI Area Offices and networks with counterparts in like-minded organizations
Management: • Provides supervision and oversight to Volunteer Programs staff, including planning, goal setting, leadership development, and evaluation. Program Monitoring and Evaluation • Manages the development, standardization and area-wide dissemination of policies, guidelines, and procedures that will increase volunteer program quality and effectiveness, and minimize potential risks. • Develops and facilitates the use of tools for gathering feedback from participants and systems for tracking progress towards established objectives. • Manages consolidation and reporting for volunteer programs in AP, and oversees the generation of statistical and program reports.
Marketing and Partnership Development • Coordinates the marketing of the Asia Pacific Volunteer Programs, including awareness-raising and profile-raising campaigns. This includes the creation of promortional resources and marketing tools such as team member stories and photos, specific national volunteer program information, and website postings. • Manages the development of partnerships with compatible short term volunteer programs in Asia Pacific and the promotion of volunteer program opportunities to specialized organizations such as embassies, clubs, educational organizations, etc. • Resarches promotional and marketing mediums, such as conferences, events, publications and websites, and makes recommendations to National Organizations and HFHI staff accordingly. • Creates the necessary structure for an enriching intercultural experience for HFH's international supporters and potential supporters. Volunteer Cultivation • The Director of Volunteer Programs manages the development of the Asia Pacific volunteer cultivation program and database. This program will further encourage and facilitate advocacy; provide future volunteer, donor and leadership opportunities; and enable returned team members and leaders to sustain their relationship with host countries.

Required Skills:
|
• 5 or more years experience in Volunteer Programs, Partnerships and Advocacy for non-profit, NGOs in a variety of settings. • Experience initiating a successful volunteer development program and proven record of success in raising funds through such programs • Field experience required. • Bachelors degree required. • Masters preferred. • Ability to communicate and affirm the Christian roots and principles of HFHI; • Strategic thinker • Successful supervisory and team building skills, team player. • Excellent organizational and administrative skills • Fluency in English with other Asia Pacific languages an asset. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Excellent training and mentoring skills • Ability to work and live in cross-cultural setting. • Knowledge of Habitat's worldwide mission preferred.
