Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Grant and Proposal Writer (Haiti Disaster Response. This position works collaboratively with the Donor Relations team to research and write technical proposals to secure funding for our response to the Haiti 2010 earthquake. It is based at our offices in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Key duties include:
*Responsible for the research, preparation and reporting for grant requests and proposals from large public and private entities, foundations and multi-national organizations. *Works internally with Resource Development and Program to translate funding priorities into a grant request that secures funding from external entities. *Responsible for collecting, analyzing and preparing reports for HFHI to report back to the funding organization or entity. *Keeps the Communications team updated on what is happening in Resource Development. *Must work collaboratively with internal and external clients, partners such as CBOs, NGOs, Shelter Cluster staff and with the Donor Relations and Communications teams. *Works on other related projects as nessary to support the Donor Relations team.
